THE NEWS
MOBILE APP UI
The News mobile app UI was designed to transform way people consume daily information. We focused on creating a flow that makes staying updated both engaging and effortless. 02
Personalized for Every Reader
In designing The News app UI personalization was at the heart of every decision. News consumption is no longer one-size-fits-all so we built a dynamic personalization system into the interface. Users can select categories keywords, or even regions they want highlighted in their feed. The design integrates subtle UI patterns that make tailoring preferences quick and effortless.
The layout adapts dynamically based on these choices, creating a feed that evolves with the user’s interests. Push notifications were also designed with personalization in mind, ensuring users receive only the most relevant alert. The typography and spacing were tuned for readability across long-form articles as well as short breaking updates.
Solution
03
Trust and Engagement
News is about credibility, and the UI had to reflect that responsibility. From the outset, we approached The New app with a design for-trust philosophy. Clear source labeling was integrated into every story card to avoid ambiguity. Verified icons and color-coded categories help users quickly identify the reliability of their news. We kept transparency in mind, with clear timestamps and author names visible on each article. To drive engagement, interactive elements like polls, share buttons, and quick reactions carefully integrated into the design.
