HORIZON
LAB FLOW
Horizon Lab Flow was built to simplify how labs manage, track, and optimize their processes. Traditional lab systems often feel, fragmented, and slow, which leads to wasted time and data errors. Our goal was to design a streamlined digital platform that gives researchers and technicians a clear view of their workflows in real-time

The Challenge of Realism
The UI emphasizes clarity, with dashboards that surface the most important information without overwhelming the user. Color coding was introduced to distinguish between different lab stages, creating instant visual recognition. Micro-interactions were designed to guide users smoothly through tasks, reducing friction and confusion
By integrating drag-and-drop scheduling and automated status updates, the interface minimizes manual work. Data visualization plays a key role, helping labs track progress and bottlenecks at a glance. The design also supports collaboration allowing multiple users to monitor experiments simultaneously.

Complexity Into Simplicity
Labs deal with complex data, processes, and compliance requirements, which often overwhelm existing system. For Horizon Lab Flow, our challenge was to simplify complexity without losing depth. We focused on modular UI components that allow flexibility across different types of labs. Each module—from sample tracking to result recording—was designed with a consistent visual, reducing cognitive load. The app integrates smart notifications, reminding user of pending action while avoiding alert fatigue. The navigation structure is layered but intuitive, ensuring that advanced users
